At this time, the Wondery app is not directly compatible with Echo device functionality. However, you can listen to Wondery shows through your Echo by pairing your device to it directly via Bluetooth. Here's how:
Pairing your phone to an Echo device
For an Echo device without a screen (such as an Echo, or Echo Dot):
- Set your phone to pairing mode
- On iPhone, open Settings and tap on Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is “Off”, toggle it to “On”
- On Android, open Settings and tap on Bluetooth, Connected Devices or Connections . Next, tap on Pair new device or Scan
- Using voice
- Say, “Pair Bluetooth”
- On your phone, you will see the Echo’s name appear, tap on the Echo’s name.
- The Echo device will confirm when pairing has completed
For an Echo device with a screen, such as an Echo Show:
- Set your phone to pairing mode
- On iPhone, open Settings and tap on Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is “Off”, toggle it to “On”
- On Android, open Settings and tap on Bluetooth, “Connected Devices” or “Connections” . Next, tap on “Pair new device” or “Scan”
- Using voice
- Say, “Pair Bluetooth”
- On your phone, you will see the Echo’s name appear, tap on the Echo’s name.
- The Echo device will confirm when pairing has completed
- Using the Echo’s screen
- Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap on Settings
- Tap on Bluetooth
- Scroll down the list and tap on the name of your phone
- Your Echo device and phone are now paired.
Removing / Unpairing your phone from an Echo device
- Using the Alexa app
- Open the Alexa app
- Open the Alexa app on your phone
- Tap the Devices tab
- Tap on Echo & Alexa
- Select the Echo device that is paired with your phone
- Select the phone you want to remove and tap Forget Device
